The Hospitality Industry has always fascinated Mikael Bouchet, and he had started out by enrolling in a catering school to wear a chef’s hat. He has always been curious and a constant learner which has been a driving force for his career.
Mikael joined Accor in the U.K. which was where he picked up the revenue management fever. Once he had participated in the successful opening of their latest flagship hotel, the company moved him to China where he first landed in Guangzhou and then Shanghai. Post that he joined Hilton to open the Revenue Management Consolidated Centre for Asia Pacific. Mikael received 2 enterprise wide awards and ended up by leading the Centre with its 100 team members and went on to achieve the best performance in 7 years in market share, team member satisfaction and financial profitability whilst supporting 170 hotels across 14 countries. After a personal break to take care of his son’s health he joined the Langham Hospitality Group to lead its Revenue Management function for China. After 2 years driving performance across a diverse portfolio of stunning hotels, Mikael joined the Rosewood Hotel Group as Senior Director of Commercial for the Asia Pacific region.
Mikael sees himself as an enthusiastic people and commercial leader with an entrepreneurial mind. The experience of leading a very large team in a complex business environment with dozens of stakeholders has been one the most enriching experiences as per him, and enabled him to grow and to work with fascinating business function leaders and hotel general managers.
When he is not in office, Mikael takes his parenting responsibilities very seriously and endeavours to be present as as possible for his son. He reads a lot as a means to continue his personal development. and recently picked up on drumming as well. Mikael is a soundtrack enthusiastic, especially for John Williams and Hans Zimmer’s work.
