Jayne MacDougall is the newly appointed Executive Director of Phuket Hotels Association with more than 20 years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industry in Thailand. She worked as Director of Risk Management with Marriott Group and earlier as Director of Health and Safety in Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and she is a specialist in Risk Management, food safety, environmental issues and crisis management.  Jayne was Chairperson for the Environment Committee of Phuket Hotels Association for 6 years, and she has coordinated lifesaving programs for Hotel staff and the community for many years. Her most recent role was as a Senior Consultant to Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)GmbH in a pilot project on Phuket to remove single-use plastic from hotels. The Project was a 3-country project called CAP-SEA ; Collaborative Action to Prevent Single-Use Plastic in Southeast Asia.  GIZ provides services in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.
