Alex has 20 years professional experience in sales & marketing and rooms operations with a great reputation in the market. Alex started his career with Marriott in 1996 at The Westin Josun Seoul as Sales Executive and over the course of his career, he has held key roles in various brands in Seoul like Westin, JW Marriott, W Hotels, Renaissance and Autograph Collections Hotels. To broaden his career journey into human resources Alex has been appointed in 2022 as Market Director of HR for South Korea in addition to his current role as General Manager of JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul.

이동현 총지배인은 1996년 신세계 그룹 공채 4기로 입사, 계열사인 웨스틴 조선 서울 세일즈 마케팅 부서에 발령받은 것을 시작으로, JW Marriott 서울, 르네상스 호텔, W 호텔, 임피리얼 팰리스 호텔의 세일즈 마케팅 책임자 역할을 수행하였으며, 플라자 호텔에서 부총지배인을 거쳐, 코트야드 바이 메리어트 수원의 총지배인이 되었다. 이어 한국 메리어트의 인사 책임자를 겸직하면서, 지금의 JW Marriott 동대문 스퀘어 서울의 총지배인을 역임 중이다.
