I am a skilled economist and analyst with strong communication and client-facing skills. I am currently a Senior Economist with Tourism Economics (an Oxford Economics company), where I conduct custom research projects, economic impact analysis and forecasting for various clients and organisations in the tourism sector.
My interests and skills are varied. I enjoy problem solving and critical thinking, managing people and projects, presenting research and improving workplace processes and approaches to research or analysis.
I previously worked at the Reserve Bank of Australia. At the RBA I spent four years in the Economic Analysis Department, primarily focussing on analysing the Australian housing market. This work involved conducting short- and long-term research, composing briefings, writing for and presenting to internal and external audiences, and forecasting economic variables. I was part of the business liaison team in this Department for three years, where I frequently met with CEOs and other executives from a range of businesses to discuss economic conditions and industry developments. Prior to this I worked in the International Financial Markets section for three years, looking at markets for foreign exchange, government debt securities and credit markets.
